server population

Just a concern of mine, as the population for the game appears to be dropping at an alarming rate, are you guys planning to do anything or are you just going to let the ps4 version die out? atm we have about 64 active players, the fact that i can count them gives a fair idea how bad the situation is, on any given day the majority of the time you are playing the same 4-5 ppl all the time , as such more ppl are quitting, to make matters worse once eu goes to sleep, the game goes silent since in the Oceana region this game is basically unknown, as far as i know i'm the only australian on ps4 that still plays and i'm not aware of any asian players.
So is there a plan to merge servers with the american one? is there going to be some sort of advertising campaign to get the oceana region more involved to amp up the population? if not i'm going to have to consider quitting myself as i'm a bit over the half an hour to an hour wait for 1 game, i work, and have a son to look after, i simply don't have the time for those kind of waits and i imagine alot of other players in similar situations will agree with me.

The game is great guys, aside from the bugs that still exist since closed beta, its been alot of fun, and you can see greater potential than world of tanks due to the scifi factor, so its sad to see it just die like this, ps4 version really needs some more love asap.

Im not sure that would help, im in the U.S. and the game seems empty. 5 minute que times get me nothing unless its proving grounds. I love the game in every way, but it seems unknown on ps4

I am from EU and last few days I feel the same. I am looking for the match more then 9 minutes and nothing. Sometimes I have lucky to find game, mostly VET. When I finished VET match I start search for LEGEND match (with T4 only, T5 no chance) but after 8 minutes I stop it and try again VET. If VET is not found I just turn off Dreadnought and play another game. That already happened few times. I like Dreadnought and I hope it will goes better.

But I think one of problems is delays between patches for PS4, for example one of my friend still have problem with maintenance and customer service told him, he have to wait until next patch. He can not play in squad VET feelt so he completly stop play Dreadnought and return to World of Tanks. I wish PS4 have patches at same time like PC, because on PC it is almost look like they have patch every week.

Been noticing this myself, North American EST timezone, playing between 4-8 PM queue times have been getting longer recently. Used to reliably pop in under 2 minutes, now the average time is closer to 10 minutes per round, with quite a few 20+ minute waits (I'm assuming only one active game, so once it finishes and people reque, I get tossed into the next game and someone else waits 20+ minutes)

I think it's this perpetual "Open Beta" state that is affecting the playerbase. You can only go so long in beta before players leave, with the impression that the game is somehow incomplete.

There is a very good point, especially on console. The numbers are most definitely there for both NA and EU. A number of variables impact queue/matchmaking times though such as the fleet in use, game mode being searched, or even the time of day you're playing. Our teams have initiatives in place to improve these times in the future.

Thank you for the honest response. It's good to see that your teams are working on improving the experience despite the relatively small playerbase.

I believe the splitting of the various game modes is leading to fragmentation of the players. Perhaps combine them in a "random game mode" selection that lets a player search all game modes at the same time and plop them into the first available pvp or pve mode.

Having run IT development groups for a long time, I see the effort you guys are putting into this game and only wish you guys success. Besides, it's a fun game - you just need to get the word out. smile

You're very welcome! We're also looking into what can be done regarding PS4 being region locked. It would definitely help with that as well.

We appreciate it! We've got a lot more to come, and we can't wait to share! smile

That's because we kick the crab out of them in vetmode, where tier 2 faces tier 4 and that kind of sucks. I, personally play tier 3 ships if this happens.
