Unique game mode idea: CHAOS mode

Whilie its obvious that this game was designed for team based gameplay, it would be interesting to have a simple free for all game mode. CHAOS mode would be a free for all match, first to score 25 kills wins. Top 3 players get a battle bonus of 75%, 50%, or 25% in addition to the standard battle bonus.

Game mode idea #2: BOUNTY HUNTER

BOUNTY HUNTER would be similar to CHAOS mode, a free for all, however players are given a specific random target to take down. If players can take out their targets, they get an xp boost. First to score 25 kills wins. Top 3 players get a battle bonus of 75%, 50%, or 25% in addition to the standard battle bonus.

Game mode idea #3: KING OF THE SKY

Another free for all game mode. One player becomes king and gets marked out as the primary target. The player who kills the king ship becomes the new king, the new primary target. Players get points for every second they remain king, at a rate of 5 points/second. First to score 1500 points wins. Kills do not count towards point total. Top 3 players get a battle bonus of 75%, 50%, or 25% in addition to the standard battle bonus.

Game mode idea #4: WOLF HUNT

A heavily armored AI ship is hidden around the map. Teams must hunt down and destroy this lone wolf. Standard kills are worth 5 points, lone wolf ships are worth 500 points. First team to score 1500 points wins. Lone wolf ship will respawn 10 seconds after each death. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #5: CONQUEST

Several capture points are zoned out along the map. Teams must capture and hold these zones for points. Each captured zone gives the team 10 points/second, and standard kills are worth 5 points. First team to score 1500 points wins. Teams capture zones by remaining in their boundaries for an alloted time, this capture time drops faster as more ships are present, if enemy players are near the timer stops and the zone becomes contested. If the team fails to hold the zone, the timer resets and the enemy team has a chance to capture. Same rules apply for zones captured by the enemy. Players must destroy any enemy Players in that zone and hold it for the alloted capture time. Contested zones give no points to any team until captured, however players gain extra ship xp for every second They're capturing or defending those zones. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #6: DREADNOUGHT DOWN

In this game mode, players killed will respawn as part of the enemy team. First team to eliminate every player wins (everyone). As teams gain players, they lose more advantages (Movement slowed, cooldown times increased), while the weaker team gains advantages (Cooldown times decreased, lowered energy consumption , movement amplified). Last player standing gets an xp and credit boost of 90% at end of match in addition to the standard battle bonus

Game mode idea #7: TRANSHUMAN WAR

Players must team up to defend Kappa Base from a massive transhuman mothership and its endless waves of battleships. Can they survive long enough for the Kappa Base Railgun to destruy the mothership? Or will the transhumans make a new home out of our burnt remains?

Game mode idea #8: DECIMATION

Each team has a convoy of supply ships travelling through the map. Unarmed and no stronger than a corvette, these ships can use all the protection they can get as they travel between their warp zones. Players get points for destroying enemy supply ships, as well as points for successfully escorting ships to their destination. Supply ships would travel along a standard path, marked out in the HUD. If they reach the end of their path, the team gets 500 points. Destroying supply ships grants the team 300 points. Standard kills are worth 5 points. First team to reach 15,000 points wins. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #9: INTRUSION

A modified team deathmatch, where rogue AI ships will spawn in and attack any nearby players. All kills are worth 5 points. Rogue AI ships give the killing player bonus ship xp. First team to score 1500 points wins.

Game mode idea #10: GOLD RUSH

A free for all game mode. Random AI ships will spawn in, worth various amounts of GP. Players who destroy these rogue ships can earn anywhere from 3 to 10 GP per ship, however these do not count towards the kill total. First player to score 15 kills wins. NO BATTLE BONUS at end of match.

Game mode idea #11: DOMINATION

Teams fight for control of one capture zone. Players capture the zone by staying within its boundaries for an alloted time. The capture time drops faster as more ships are present. If enemy players are near the zone, the timer stops and the zone becomes contested. If players fail to hold the zone, the timer resets and the enemy team has a chance to capture. Each team gets 100 points for every second they hold the capture zone. If the zone is contested, no team gets points from it until it is recaptured. After 3 minutes, the zone will change locations. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #12: SHIP GAME

REQUIRES PLAYERS TO HAVE 1 OF EACH SHIP CLASS IN THEIR FLEET. Players start with one class, and each kill progresses them to the next class. To make it interesting, the classes would go from strongest to weakest. Players start with dreadnought class, move to destroyers, then artillery, corvettes, and finally tactical cruisers. First player to score a kill with every class wins. Free for all game mode.Top 3 players recieve a battle bonus of 75%, 50%, or 25% in addition to the standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #13: FLEET WARFARE

Modified team deathmatch. Players gain points for staying close together, as well as for killing enemy players. Players gain more points the closer they are to their teammares. Standard kills are worth 5 points, players gain 1 point per second, per each ship within the group radius. If 2 or more ships break away, the group radius fails and players have to regroup to continue gaining points. First team to reach 3000 points wins. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #14: SPACE HOG

Free for all game mode. Every kill is worth 1 point, every death costs 1 point. First player to score 15 kills wins. Top 3 players recieve a battle bonus of 75%, 50%, or 25% in addition to the standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #15: ROGUE LEGENDS

Free for all game mode. Players have 1 life only, no respawn ability. Last player alive wins. Top 3 players recieve a battle bonus of 75%, 50%, or 25% in addition to the standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #16: PROTECTION RUN

A single player on each team becomes the main target. Players must protect the target while attempting to destroy the enemies‘. Similar to onslaught but with players being the primary target. Standard kills are worth 5 points, target kills are worth 400 points. First team to reach 2000 points wins. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

I love this game and have been more than happy to contribute my fair share to help you develop it into a greater one. These are just some simple ideas to add more variety to the gameplay. Something to keep the game from feeling repetitive. However I know the development of a game like this takes time, so please feel free to pick and choose from this list at your leisure should you need good ideas.

Game mode idea #17: THE HUNTED

One player is the hunted, the rest are hunters. The player who kills the hunted becomes the new hunted. Players gain points for killing the hunted, as well as points for every second they survive as the hunted. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #18: VELOCI-RAPTORS

Class specific team deathmatch, corvettes only. Players must hunt down the enemy team in a high speed battle for aerial supremacy, pushing their piloting skills to the limits. Each kill is worth 5 points, first team to score 100 points wins. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #19: DEATHRUSH

Team deathmatch. A capture point will appear on the map, and the first team to touch it gains 20 points. A new capture point will appear when the first is captured. Standard kills are worth 5 points. First team to score 150 points wins. Standard battle bonus at end of match.

Game mode idea #20: SURVIVAL

One team has unlimited respawns, the other has one life each. When the one team is eliminated, the roles switch. The team that survives for the longest time wins. Standard battle bonus at end of match.
