So my friend recommended this game to me, and so I had a look see, and to my dissappointment, as with so many "space" games.... the ship design is horrible..... I don't mean they look horrible, but from every thing we have about theoretical space warfare, the designs for the most part, are suboptimal, horrible firing archs due to shape and size of the ships which also more often than not leads to unnessecarily large silhouette which just makes for target practice.
It's hard to get into a space game with the emphasis on combat where the average ship seems to be designed to look cool and not be military efficient. (and even the few ships I have seen with proper shape and size, then have their turrets placed at again, suboptimal places limiting firing archs....)
So I hope by taking the time to make this account and give you this feedback you might start thinking properly about ship design for the future. Because immersion is a thing for some of us, and this breaks it outright.
A brick, turned side ways or not, is absolutely not a valid military space design......
Well at least it's not as bad as some games where space ships have "wings" because we all know you need that areodynamic lift in space especially with fancy technology like "anti-gravity" drives and stuff like that >.> ......
