Shot registering?

Good afternoon,

I have noticed an apparant issue with shots not registering. For example, a full clip from a Nox visually hitting a target and no indication that the target is being damaged? I understand that this has been an issue for sometime, but recent increase in lack of shot registration has me worried.

Has anyone else seen and/or experienced this issue more frequently?

I know that we've had a few reports regarding projectiles not firing when intended, or just not connecting when they clearly should be. We're still looking into it.

This is from today stream, I can report this happening consistently on many maps. https://clips.twitch.tv/RudeSquareOctopusHumbleLife It can be map hitbox issue or Oberon arty turret issue.

Naxreus' problem seems to be the problem with the map terrain edge hitbox effects; this has been a problem for all ships for a long time at certain map terrain locations; it affects all ships, but is definitely most noticeable with artillery cruisers.

To add to this discussion, other players and I have had recent issues with Storm Missiles being launched in-range at an enemy and absolutely no damage is dealt; they seem to disappear or not register hits at all when they should hit and do damage (before you ask, the targets aren't dreadnoughts or artillery cruisers with Armor Amplifer, or tactical cruisers with Emergency Lockdown).

Reportedly, according to the developer/publisher, larger ship parts even though they are bigger than the base ship model, do not affect a ship's "damage hitbox"; this could conceivably cause a ship to be "hit" but no damage to be dealt. However, Jawayne and I tested with friendly fire whether ship parts determine where a ship can land - it does affect this, but as it was friendly fire we were unable to test whether these hits would register damage - I therefore refer to this as the "shot hitbox". I wouldn't hold my breath expecting the developer/publisher to claim, even if it is actually the case, that ship parts actually affect the "damage hitbox" as that would deincentivize use, desire, and purchasing of different ship parts.

Hello,

I have been noticing this as well.

I've been using both Oberon and Jupiter Tac Cruiser and the beam does not always work when pressed or when switching between primary/ secondary


I play on the PS4 meow

Rewatching that video over and over it looks like the mountains seem to be blocking your shots at the end as you descend behind it for cover. I've brought this up with QA to test this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

I am also having this problem, i primarily play the JA tac cruiser line and seem to only get this problem with tac cruisers. I will install fraps and will post the matchs where it happens to help resolve the issue.

lol just found out that fraps uses too much hd space and i will find another way to do this.

any suggestions?
