Nerf scramble pulse

Scramble is essentially a full stun on an enemy ship. If you're scrambled, you basically can't do anything. You can't shoot enemies, you can't maneuver without running into a wall, you can't even activate any modules against the attacker because scramble cancels all module locks. A destroyer running scramble pulse can consistently take out two cruisers on the enemy team and jump out before anyone is able to recover from the scramble and fire back (if there's even anyone alive to do so). So, how about we make scramble not a complete blind on the enemy for 10 seconds? Disrupt the screen yes, take away HUD elements maybe, but not turn a whole team into defenceless free kills. Either that or add something that can purge status effects that isn't on the one ship class capable of reliably not getting scramble pulsed (corvettes generally need afterburner in that slot anyways).

Scramble not prevents you from moving, firing, using shields or modules. Just sitting on spot after scramble will get you rammed to death in 1 hit. Multiple ships being scrambled is rare and it means no one payed attention.

The only thing scramble will do is obstruct your vision. All modules will work. You just don't know if you have target lock. If You have damage numbers on, and you are aware of which direction the ship was moving in, you can shoot it and know if you hit as damage numbers show up.

I think at least a cooldown between when a ship cannot be re-scrambled should be considered and discussed; I'm guessing 20-30 seconds. Sure, it may be currently balanced, but being nearly constantly scrambled by Bomber or Scrambler Mines spam can be fun-ruining for the targeted player(s).

As we've mentioned before, our team is going to be doing a large balance polish after Steam launch. This is going to go over various forms of weapons, modules, and other gameplay mechanics. We don't have an exact date at this time, but that will surely be provided sometime after Steam.

As always, appreciate the feedback gang! Means a ton!

I have a better idea.

How about removing the absolute dumbest idea in the game?

Remove Scrambler from the game

It is not the "strongest" module but it is certainly the most annoying and will result in people quitting the game.

It doesnt need removed but its way too powerful in its current state. On PS4 you cant activate your energy wheel so unless you hit a mine away from the battle, youre pretty much dead.

That would be a bug then.

Removing the scrambling effect entirely would not be as beneficial as some think, as other players have stated its a valuable tool for hit-and-run tactics or to break up impenetrable enemy barriers. That said, it can probably afford to be reduced. We appreciate the feedback and I'll make sure the design team is aware!
