Steam controller support would be great. Using a keyboard and mouse is not the best for me and i see its on PS4 so it would be great to use. I have a ps4 controller and a steam controller so i guess i can map my buttons when it gets released on steam.

I just started playing yesterday but i like it.

We're slated to have basic PS4 controller support with Steam launch, but support for other controllers is planned for the near future.

(JA Destroyer Hammerhead seen on a stream, image only)

Just thought I would chime in randomly (because I find this funny), Kyle actually accidentally gave us a full 360 view of the ship on a stream thinking it was already in the game so people are already trying to decipher its loadout based on its model lol

Anyways- Back on the topic of the thread, we also have retrofits and the balance overhaul incoming. And like Miguel said, the update is a huge stepping stone for future updates. Kinda like buying a microwave to make more popcorn- or some other dumb analogy- but you get the idea. I wouldn't get to excited for anything content-wise immediately, but I would not be surprised if more content gets cranked out faster after launch

Awww...

There have to be new ( non hero) Ships at some point. The existing Ships will get old one day, boring etc.

I'd say only for the handful of players that have used all of them so far. For the rest it might only make the grind seem larger. Personally I wouldn't mind new ships but I'd much rather prefer new maps.

I kinda hope for a ranked or competitive mode and maybe event he ability to make custom games so tournaments and scrims can start happening.

Could someone link me a screenshot please? I am curious about this Hammerhead.

Ah, nevermind. It is just a fancy Destroyer.

It's a JA destroyer, aka the best destroyer.

Any news about this?

The Steam Store Page still says it's to be released by 2018 September, but I'm guessing that's no longer the case?...

To be honest Dreadnought could be a great "filler" before the holiday season, which will more-or-less start around BFV release. But for that to work, it needs to be out before other, bigger fish stir the water, so it can get noticed.

By "filler" I don't necessarily mean a bad thing btw, it's just a game that people play when they got bored of current AAA titles, while the next ones aren't out yet. Same goes for War Thunder for example, and they are quite successful this way. It's just a game that people regularly return to for a month or two, and I'd really like if Dreadnought could do that as well... but it needs to gain a good initial momentum, so the timing of Steam release is as crucial as eliminating all the major bugs/issues by the time it happens.

As of the stream on the 12th, it is there aim to have it out by the end of the month/first few days of October. Dew to unforseen complications custom matches and Havoc will not ship with the initial release, but will be shortly after. There will be 2-3 days down time while the game moves over to steam, but we get 7 days elite as a sorry(as long as you had played in the last 60 days I believe it is), and and any lost elite time back once the game is deemed stable.

Also the comunity will be granted the Enyo decal if you have played between May and steam launch. People who play after launch will not get it.
