Cross-Platform Play

I learned this morning that Sony is allowing cross-platform play for Fortnite, and are looking at other games for this feature to be implemented. What does this hold for Dreadnought? Is there a possible future where I may do battle with PC players?

While there are no current plans for cross-platform play, who knows what the future could bring. I know a lot of us here think it sounds like a cool idea.

as cool as it sounds, PC has a massive advantage due to fps and control layout. a mouse makes the camera spin significantly faster then using a loystick.

Kokoro uses a PS4 controller on PC, he has no issues.

That may be the case in a number of competitive titles. But I honestly think that Dreadnought would be one of the few where it could be a good 50/50, or close to it. There are truly talented players on both platforms.

That's "Kokurou", sir, lol and nope I have 0 issues. In fact I give even some of the "m&k master race" guys a hard time. While camera rotation is slower, I feel it's more accurate than using a mouse. The only downside for using a controller in Dreadnought (and some on PS4 accised me of hacking for doing this) is, while under Scrambler, you cannot swipe for your energy wheel. I had s keyboard attached to my PS4 so I would always be able to raise my shields with F2 on the keyboard. Same concept spploes even to PC.

People will say "gah m&k is better for this game". I might be the only person on PC that uses a controller, and I will argue that a controller is better just because your left hand isn't doing too much at once. All in all,it boils down to preference.

If DN actually does go cross-platform, there's going to be a lot of competition. M&K will definitely be challenged against a controller.

i too use a ps4 contoler and in fact i have my camera rotation turned down as low as it will go. And as with Kokurou I have no issiue with it. The only issiue I do have is order to get the touch pad to work I need to run in fullscreen because in windowed it does not let me use it for the energy wheel and that to is fine as I still have key binds for those.

all of them and zero issue it come down to situational awareness really and just overall experience with the controler and the game itself. I have many hours invested and so does kokurou.

when it comes to artyies and the controller you have to know what your target is ship wise and the flight charictaristics are and then of course the human nature part of it example is this guy going to go straight , is he gonna dodge At some point you learn people fly the same way or they allways fly the same ship that they are comfortable in so you then know how far to leed them. And the hieght adjustment from arty to target is universial. So no I don't have a problem with it
