Has the ps4 community dried up?

I am in Australia, and whenever I try to get a game on any more but particularly on legendary I give up after 15 mins of waiting for a match. Has the ps4 community dried up? This is at all times of the day, morning or night. Any suggestions?

I'm gonna take a guess and say that this is due to region lock. I really wish the devs would open this game up so that we can play with everyone. It's gotten to the point that we regularly fight the same Captains over and over that they all know who you are and know your ship type.

I'm hoping they'll release the coop seasonal thing they were talking about a while back. I really need a different mode.

There is no region lock anymore, unless they reinstituted it with the latest update.

I have no problem getting Veteran games, but yes, Legendary seems thinner on the ground now. Though they still happen often enough.

Perhaps your time zone is the problem? NA and EU people not awake when you're playing?

Region lock is most certainly not a thing anymore on PS4. It was in the beginning, though that passed after we announced our region merge. I'd question the time zones to be quite honest. Especially with us having so many international players. It's a great thing of course, but it makes it harder for all of those players to play together as a result of their time zones.

As always, if you ever experience lengthy queues for any reason, I'd stick to the "Any" game mode, and mix your fleets up.

I do think a bit is the time zone. Im eastern us and usually dont have 10+ min wait times, but Im also mixing with the Euro and NA crowds. Also Ive noticed increased que times since the update, but I think its due to being 8v8 rather thsn 5v5

I'm going to guess it has a lot to do with new games coming out and veteran players getting sick of blue screens mid-match. I've seen Legendary matches where half the team blue screens in 10 seconds. That has a tendency to tick people off.

I'm currently playing Warface and then have other games to finish in my backlog, but I will return to Dreadnought eventually.

However the increase of players per match might have something to do with long queu times, and I made a thread about my concerns over that before.

I know we all dislike bots in competitive matches but if players can't get a match started after a certain amount of time (a feature where players can choose what that time is) a match should start with whomever was queuing and the rest should be filled with bots.

Something is better than nothing in this case. If players won't find matches many of them won't queu anymore or less, and the result makes the problem worse.

I think most will agree bots are a neccesary evil. Ive been seeing about 2 each side per match, but Im fine with that to reduce queue times. Its better than waiting longer
