o7 capitans and developers! The nuclear fire broke the resistance of the enemy scientists and our ships managed to capture some of their developments to improve the technology of dreadnoughts. These were not English-speaking scientists, so mistakes below are possible. Let's discuss?
Recent changes to the main guns have been good and have brought light and heavy dreadnought back into late game. But, they made the secondary guns useless (some profit only while the main guns is reloading).
Each secondary weapon must have its own purpose in the game. Its choice should be meaningful and useful. There are a list of improvements:
Heavy Flak: a) dramatically increase damage at range 0-900 (+50% at least) OR b) fire from both sides in very wide angle WHY: Flak cannons must be better than main guns at minimal range OR it should carry special function. For example variant B offers some profit if you jump between two or more ships.
Repeater guns: Rate of fire main guns should be -30% from current values (but DPS should be the same current value) and rate of fire Repeaters should be +30% from current values (DPS can be even a lowered a little, but not too much). WHY: This will create an additional difference in the rate of fire. Repeater guns will have a special purpose: "the destruction of maneuverable targets that are difficult to get from the main guns". But at the same time for maximum damage the main weapon will always be better.
Heavy Mortar: Recharge time increased +100%, damage +100%, range is 1/3-1/4 of current value, accuracy is half of current value. WHY: If we will made Heavy Mortar usable, than with such range it will made artillery class useless. If we don't, than Useless Heavy Mortar it is also very bad. So we will create special purpose for this weapon. This gun will be perfect to fire while main gun is reloading. And theoretical max DPS will be only possible with sequence "main gun -> mortar -> main gun". WARNING: Without accuracy nefr double damage it is too powerful buff.
We ask to support these initiatives, so will be additional motivation raiding at enemies research centers in the future. Even if dreadnought not your favorite class, it is possible to improve all other classes too. By maximizing diversity we increase gameplay hours. As result more game population.
