Is anyone else getting just a black window when you click "Play Dreadnought" from the launcher?

Yes. I have this same issue.
There were some mumblings about Antivirus potentially causing the issue. I have Avast. Tried disabling it to no avail.
Now looking into C++ Redistributable 2015 64-bit, hoping it fixes it. Will update when I find out.
No joy on the C++ Redist. Sent a support request, hopefully they can look at this after they get the servers up.
New update. I moved all movies from "Dreadnought\DreadGame\DreadGame\Content\Movies" to some new folder, emptying it of all contents, and the game jumped straight to the login screen for me. Possibly some video codec installed causing issues with the intro movie playback (or UT4 video playback issues, quite well documented). Hope it helps.

The movies do however play if i run them from the directory.

-Press the "Windows Key" + R.
-In the "Run" window type DXDIAG.
-Once the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens, press “Save All Information.”
-Save your DxDiag to your desktop.
-Attach your DxDiag to your response.

Before you create and submit your MSINFO file please ensure that your copy of Windows is fully updated, you can do this here: http://update.microsoft.com/
-Press Windows Key + R.
-Type MSInfo32 and press Enter.
-In the MSInfo diagnostic window, click File, then Save.
-When the Save As window appears, choose Desktop.
-Name the file "MSInfo" and click Save.

Login ok, accept eula ok... but after it starts a black screen with "press space bar to skip intro....." but don't run.

before I tried media feature KB3010081 and did not work.
after I found a new version KB3099229 and now it works.
