Bit dissapointed

I excepted more from a close Beta what shouldnt be set far from the Launch, theres no real Content as the few Ships and 5v5 PVP Battles. No real bit of Story, no PVE at all and for a Beta i expected to test the full Game or at least 80% of it not such a tiny bit only where every of the actual Alpha Games i played offer way way more Content specially Early Access ones.

I really hope theres more on Release where i dont get to give out an extremely cutted Beta for Founders, otherwise i think it was a waste of Money for the Merc Pack in my opinion. Even if its a stated F2P Game, if thats it about it, its only a 15 Minute sometimes Game, its not enough because this atm is a Beta of an Alpha i mean not even the Settings work properbly.

We did play from Alpha to Beta for like >200h. "15 minutes" is a pure matter of taste.
That said, without proper enemies it becomes boring really fast as it is right now. With the new idea about tiers etc. it will be DOA, though, because there are tons of games like that around that are more exciting in their concept.

Hi there WeylandYutani, I can understand how you must feel but must realise that this is a very very early build. Whenever I'm in a beta, even an open beta i expect to go into the game and everything to be incomplete and broken. The purpose of allowing us to have access to the beta is for the developers to get to know how the main game mechanics work. What should be changed. Does the user interface work well and do users find it easy to navigate around. All the gloss & filling comes later. For it being in the stage that it is at I think its rather good for a closed beta. Alot of games in development go into their development stages at different intervals, for instance, when I'm beta testing for EA a lot of the games foundations are in place, the mechanics are in place and the UI is mostly complete. Different companies offer there products for people to try at different times. Some when its bare bones, (I have tested a game where even the textures were not added yet.. Blue Blob pushing other blobs about) and others where you could mistake it for being a final product. In my experience there has even been a few that have stayed in beta for the entire lifespan of the game. What I'm saying is beta's are different experiences from one another, But never really expect to go in with a near complete game. From what the devs have learnt so far is that we wanted more ships, more goodies to level up to. The strategies players are making. From this they then better understand how to gear the game into something we can all enjoy. As it's to be a F2P game this is very important time for a developer. I myself thank you for even being part of this little group of Space Sluggers that go logger head whenever we have the chance. All I can say to you WeylandYutani, is to continue to help this game grow into something tremendous. Continue to have your passionate attitude to push developers to make bigger & better games for us. Let them know when things are wrong and what isn't working, but please.. give them the time needed. Dreadnought 2.0 is on the horizon and I see many epic things heading our way. Alot good & some may even turn out to be bad, but without your voice & mine, how will the developers know when things are going wrong. Again, I thank you for your input and hope you continue to play this brilliant game with me. The foundations have been laid, let's make this game go to great heights together, as a community.

Yeah 6 Months later and nothing has been done, you have a Research now instead of all Ships avaible but thats it.

Can you give a good answer for that aswell ? I mean the Year is almost over and i dont see any Progress......

There's actually quite a bit that has been done and is being done, some of it just hasn't been shared with all of you yet, but it's about to be. Progression 2.0 changed a lot about the game, introduced a higher player cap, new UI, and overall a different flow. People enjoy it, people don't, but the thing is that we're not done yet. There is a lot that we want to add, adjust, balance, and fix overall. There's also even more new content that you'll be seeing very soon!

We'll be transitioning into Open Beta in 2017, so there's definitely a lot to come. I'd recommend taking a glimpse in Nwood's thread (https://www.greybox.com/dreadnought/en/forum/topic/35170/?page=1) about the new "Elysium" map that even includes a bit of narrative. The further Dreadnought moves along the more we'll be showing and providing, and we'll be informing all of you when the time is right.

Please dont take that negative but i only call a change a change or something new if it affects me and is relevant for me as a Player playing the Game. Normally i would say cause its in Development but BETA is about testing and fixing, maybe adding the end but not still in Development cause thats an Alpha. When i go into the Game i still only can do the same thing i did 6 Months ago.

I only take this Point because of the Word "BETA" where it is still Alpha and in my opinion wasnt yet ready to even announce or giving Access to. My only concern is Content and beside a PVP Demo it has no Content, it didnt had it 6 Months ago and it doesnt have it now no matter how much you want to say it to have such.

Wheres the PVE Mission based Content what was already talked about on PAX 2015 South in January 2015 ? Thats almost 2 Years ago with a Game "officialy" should be released in 2016. If thats your Roadmap then People need to wait 5 Years before the Game gets more as a Team Deathmatch PVP Show and thats only comparing the Game from PAX with the Game i have Access to now.
