New community project - Developer Debriefing

Hello Captains!

We have a new project brewing, but to bring it to fruition we need your help. Yes, your help.
We will be starting a video interview series that will see one of the developers answering around ten questions. The kicker is – YOU ask these questions (and that’s why we need your help). You can ask about almost anything: what’s the day-to-day life at the studio, what does the creative process for the chosen dev look like, what’s their favorite part of the game, etc.

Because the topic of lore is becoming more and more popular among you, we’ve decided that our first guest will be the person responsible for the story elements of Dreadnought. Ladies and gentlemen, please post your questions for Barb, our Lead Narrative Designer.
We will pick the most interesting questions and get her to answer them on camera. Just a few small rules for this project:
Please no questions about the lore itself. These will be answered in due time and on different channels (for example – you won't get an answer to "Who are the Transhumans" but you could ask "How are we gonna learn more about the Transhumans" smile ).
Play nice and stay civilized.
We'll be collecting questions until the 31st of March.
Once the questions have been collected, we'll use them to record the interview, publish it on Youtube and, of course, link the video here.

When compared to Oberon's Reverse Engineered Transhuman tech, how much more advanced were/are Transhuman warships?

Along a similar line if one can ask twice.

How difficult was it for Oberon to initially capture Nox-Esque ships to reverse engineer and outfit? Since the current lore says the initial Nox line ships had to be captured from the Transhumans in order to create.

Does Sinley Bay cooperate with outside scavenging groups, or do the captains themselves run supply missions to bring in new material?

Will there be game modes designed to fit specific events from the story?

Will the story stay inside our solar system, or will things eventually progress outward (maybe even as far as other stars?)

With rumors and talks of adding manufacturers roaming around, is there any planned introductory video for further companies / groups / manufacturers in the near future?

How possible would it be to have a web series dedicated to the lore of Dreadnought? Is there enough manpower at the head offices of Dreadnought to dedicate a team to build interesting lore videos? Something like 5-10 minute long chronicles from legendary pilots' ship logs, or re-telling of famous wars and what-not within the DN universe?

Somewhat not in line with what the thread is about, but I figured I'd ask here, since it's sure to be populated by the right people. smile

If one wishes to help widen the lore / be part of the lore team, is there somewhere one could apply for a 'position' within the lore team? smile

Thanks for this thread, it's very nice to see some efforts put into different aspects of Dreadnought, and being a lore fanatic, I can't wait to see what sprouts from this continued effort to deepen Dreadnought's lore! smile <3

Where do you get youre Ideas for the Lore?

Does it all come from youre Mind, or are you getting some Ideas from elsewhere?
