Thoughts on patch 1.6

Hello everyone,

I want to share some thoughts regarding the next patch with you. Thor said that patch 1.6 is already in production, and what could be in it? Warning! Could contain spoilers!

New map: Elysium

Nwood said some time ago that his part is done and art team is polishing the map, so it could be very close to its completition.

Bug fixes

-The bugged purgeram and the ships (ballista, jutland etc.) could be fixed.
-Fixes for the matchmaking
-other fixes

Cosmetics

-Probably new cosmetics

Carrier class

DN_Morgenstern said that carriers are "already on the list." Maybe this class is already in development and could be revieled/teasered with the patch 1.6 news

New gamemode

We got some information about special beacons, the Oakanides, they could play a (big) role in the new gamemode.

Start All Over and actually listen to the people that are playing it.

I know, wishful thinking that will never happen. Lucky for me, it's just as fun to watch a new game crumble, as it is to see one succeed.

If these things aren't fixed with the next patch, then there is NO REASON for another patch, imo.

It was outright shameful that such fundamental issues weren't fixed with 1.5 - akin to installing new windshield wipers when the car is missing a wheel.

An entirely new "Carrier Class" seems less likely to me than a carrier-focused Dreadnought build - making fighter/bomber modules more viable and useful being a big step along the way.

That said, interesting speculation.

I have to agree if they don't address the prime issues in the next patch then it's not worth it. There won't be anyone left to play it.

A large focused hull that focuses on small wings of craft......thats called a carrier buddy lol. They have to make a carrier since every other game does it and even more so adds a new dynamic to the game. I love carriers and I use them in every game

Please let us bind our keys... for the love of... but yeah there are some key issues I'd love to see fixed before anything else was added. If they can do both at the same time... I'm all for it.

Would like to see a fully Carrier centric build actually possible. (eg. Bombers Primary module, damage not as good as say a plasma broadside but longer range and a little bit more steady / accurate damage. Fighter Secondary module, damage like a slug torpedo and apply debuffs like weaken enemy target weapons,or shut down modules, etc etc... Interceptor Perimeter module like the anti missile lasers these would intercept missiles, torpedoes, and enemy fighters but at a longer range but also take a bit longer.). Also something I would like to see for a Carrier class would be an internal module that would give it an escort frigate ship that will stick close and engage enemy ships at about 900 - 1500 meters. mostly for something against corvettes that get that close or closer. Just a thought or 2 on carriers and carrier builds.
