For starters they might not have an answer to your question or they might not be allowed to share information regarding it.

Neither one of these is a valid reason to close a Topic!

I think he is doing exactly as he should. constant raging like a lot of ppl do is exactly what scares away new players without even playing the game.

I read some of the mentioned posts and most of the time the question was answered so no need to keep the thread. And there are alot of complaining posts that are not closed. Your view seems heavily biased my friend.

Regards

Look "My Friend" everyone knows who I am. Everyone knows how much time I have put into this game.

There is no need to be offensive,he just stated his opinion as you did,and to be honest i agree with him.In my ipinion community managers are doing their job as they should.People tend to post things without searching the forums. And some posts are ment to be locked.

P.s. i dont know who you are..at least not with that name.

Yet again,i dont recall the name. Also by this time i dont think you should be the only one owning 3 t5 ships.I would have to agree with Chip, the amount we spent on this game or the personal progress doesnt give us anything over another player.

Which is exactly why I said "As for why they may close a thread if the topic is hateful or toxic that is a good enough reason to remove it from the forums in my opinion" in the sentence after.

Funny considering I only 24 people on my Friendlist and you are one of them. Granted I had to look all the way at the bottom to find you, having it in order of matches played.

By looking at your post count on the forums versus games played, its obvious you spend more time on the forums then you do playing lol

Well this has turned into a mud slinging contest and you wonder why topics gets locked.. Well this is one way to do it.

Some of us are dissatisfied in one way or another and its usually the reason why we are on the forums to begin with. And to be honest I have no idea how I would react if I were in your situation but I think I would not go into other people their topics and disrupt it.

Anyway I really don't expect CM members to come in here now to have a civilized discussion with granted some criticism from my part but with the replies this topic has its probably not going to happen.

Better yet this topic can be closed it was not a good idea to do this on the forums and chip was kind enough to provide a good constructive answer to the best of his abilities.

Yeah I know there are many downsides to this aswell and there are a ton of reasons why devs or anybody related to them don't play with the community.

Usually, mods and devs use different accounts, which are not related to their official mod or dev accounts for playing the game, to get an idea, whats going on ingame (Unless there is some sort of Event, which may perform better with Dev and mods, then they still can use their normal and well known accounts).

Do you know, what is pretty sad about this Topic or all that discussions about devs not listening/communicating/not caring: If you want see the same Thing in ist final Stadium, take a look at Battlestar Galactica Online (or some other bigpoint games). Once a promising game with bestselling notes and Awards, ist now Close to death. And all the discussions you can find here, existed there too.

As they say in BSG: "All of this has happened before, and will happen again" Well, i do hope, that in the case of Dreadnought, that they find a better way and don´t go the road, so much other games/Managements/devs/whoever-feels-responsible already used to destroy themselfes.

Have a nice day, sun is shining (somewhere at least)

Haha, I wouldn't say there was "tension" between that user and I. But for whatever reason they decided to take it out on me which is fine I suppose. Me closing and locking threads is merely me trying to keep the forums clean and keep toxic behavior under wraps. Just like Odin has stated, we're wanting to welcome new players to our community, not push them away. Negative and toxic behavior does nothing to improve a situation or a new player's experience. Furthermore, I close threads that have received an answer, are off topic, or aren't constructive and just becoming worse, and worse. We do answer questions as best as we can, as I / we've mentioned before, some questions also require us to get answers which sometimes may take a bit of time. There are multiple reasons for this, but you can imagine that with Yager being in Germany we can't always get an answer immediately. Our jobs are to provide answers to whatever questions you may have, we've never dodged questions or blocked them, at least intentionally. We're still wanting to get Yager devs more active on the forums so that the questions that are asked can get answered ASAP if not immediately. Until then, we're going to continue to do "Community Hot Topic" threads and answer questions as best as we can. If for some reason that isn't enough for some players, I apologize, it'll only get better in time.
