Really? Is that why a losing team will reach for Snipers and Vettes to turn a game around or why vette players toping scores usually also plays Sniper but you never see them in other types?
You're kidding, right? I never saw Dreadnoughts or Destroyers toping the kill sheets with the same regularity and it's certainly not because their players are of lesser levels of skills, the DPS is just not there, as simple as that.
In a heal camping furball, the Snipers are near untouchable even using Nukes, i killed some this way but they even weren't the target, healers were and they survived, too bad..
The camping B.S went on with healers healing each other and several high DPS ships whiping out the other team, and i can't deny that, i have been on this side of such a game too, it's static, boring and utterly unfair for the attacking team.
Add two Corvettes to that and the game is wraped up from the start, so there IS an unballanced and it is linked to type DPS and heal camping tactics, this kills the dynamic of the game 100%.
Here are two example of what i said; Corvettes would prey on anything trying to break the locks and Snipers score from max distance, in the first example i had to gow down under ground level to get close to the healers as the map allowed for this, in many cases they dont.
Second example: I'm an offensive player, i hate camping so even when i grind my Jutland modules, once in a blue moon, i brawl and take the game to the other team, in this case i had two healers offensive enough to come with me and as you can see, there was no Corvettes in this game.
Result? A K/D of 9/0, nearly the opposite of my usual trying to unlock camping circuses with whatever ship i play, usualy Dreadnought or Destroyer.
To me this says it all, in the contest of heal camping, both tIV Corvettes and Artillery Cruisers can be O.P, depending on thish branch those players chose to play them from, and it's DPS that makes the difference, with any other type it takes for ages to get a kill and during all this time you're vulnerable to retun fire. There comes the heal camping B.S...
