Slow down ... maybe you did not read . The corvette can simply tank an ac of the same tier frontally and kill him. Really guys... either you are trying to defend your "farm spot" either you can't didn't play other classes recently.
All AC have effective range of 7km, with NO damage falloff, and fastest projectile speed in game (7km/s).
Vettes have 1.2km effective range, with very steep damage falloff past that range, and significantly lower projectile speed.
If you speaking of tier-2 vette dover, its even worse. Fulgora and Medusa have nearly 360 degree attack angle for their guns. Thus they keep moving around and shooting at their target. Dover (and his later variants) have very limited attack angle for front mounted guns. If initial attack will fail - the only possible way for Dover to repeat attack with main guns is to STOP and wait for reload. At which point you don't even need to slow him down. He effectively already will be nearly immobile.
The only thing required from you is very BASIC things to do:
1)Don't waist your energy on weapons, unless vette was killed recently and not gonna return within next half minute.
2)Don't wonder far from you team. Been ACs doesn't mean you should act like that. If you want to flank someone, at very least ensure you have an escort.
3)Don't just seat and what how vette killing you. ALWAYS peak on radar (frankly dover can't use cloaks), and ALWAYS mark dover for team when he is out of cover.
4)Pay attention when other team mates calling targets. It very likely will be corvette.
Oh and, if you not heed those SIMPLE rules. You not gonna be bad just against vettes, in veteran matches you gonna be bad with ANY class vs EVERY class (including same class you using).

The problem with that is:
- Most of these modules are not available at lower Tiers and often need quite some experience to be used effectively.
- It is very hard to destroy a Corvette without these modules. I do understand that every class has its counter modules with which it can be very effectively countered, but for corvettes, the difference between the effort it takes to destroy them with and without these modules is bigger then with any other class.
That's not true actually.
Both tier-2 ACs have stasis missiles. As well as dive maneuver and bomb catapult.
Most t2 ships have anti-missile laser to deal with vettes' torpedoes
Orcus have tesla pods and blast pulse. Blast pulse alone will leave dover on 44% health.
