I really wanted to keep enjoying this game but i realized i was kidding myself. Here's why...

  1. The sound constantly crashes.
  2. The touchpad is unreliable.
  3. I got to tier III and profits ground to a halt
  4. Corvettes (yes.....and i own a Hactar!)
  5. Devs have long known about these issues as old forum posts indicate but nothing has changed.

So take a break, and come back later. This is a beta, issues absolutely will happen. Nearly your entire list has been acknowledged as an issue by the dev group, and slated for attention/resolution in a future release of the game.

Also worth noting (as you indicated Touchpad, so PS4) it's slower/more difficult to release patches due to the extra QA layer of Sony/PSN being in the way, so the PS4 version will always be a patch or few behind PC. Just how the tech works.

I would also reccomend taking a break and come back later for one simple reason- You guys on PS4 are behind in updates. PC is a mile ahead of you guys and I promise you, things get a LOT better. Our updates will eventually trickle down to you as planned.

PC is still a grind and same problems regarding game mechanics......

Game appears to have inherrent flaws that are ignored or defended by people .... odd due to what the ultimate goal of all devs should be , yet they seem to always trash their own games!

Basically, don't see the game as a grind. Don't think "I need X, then i can start playing/having fun". Play to have fun, and eventually you get more stuff. But you don't exactly need that stuff, because you are already having fun.

And if you are not having fun, why play a game that isn't fun for you?

That being said, you will still get stuff a lot slower once you are at T3, and even more slowly once you are on T4 ships. That is a problem if you just want to get to T4 to start playing. It is not a problem if you are having fun flying the ships that you currently have.

And corvettes are sometimes annoying to deal with, but it can be done. I can especially recommend the "stasis pulse" module on dreadnoughts.

I am only talking about the PC version. I have no idea about Playstation.

Bugs and the such are supposed to be present in an open beta. The main issue is the lack of balancing in the "Veteran" bracket. I made a long thread regarding how this is going to negatively impact them in the long run. The game is hinging on p2w and needs to backstep away from this avenue of profit generation quickly before it's too late.

  1. The sound constantly crashes.

Seems to be a PS4 thing.

  1. The touchpad is unreliable.

Seems to be a PS4 thing. On the PC you simply bind your F1~F4 (energy management, don't use the wheel) to your mouse and greatly benefit.

  1. I got to tier III and profits ground to a halt

Fixed on the PC with Battle Bonus

  1. Corvettes (yes.....and i own a Hactar!)

That's lack of experience (and maybe a tier issue). Don't play hero ships, they are a waste of time. There are dozen of corvette threads here you might want to look up. TL;DR, situational awareness and poke them from a distance.

  1. Devs have long known about these issues as old forum posts indicate but nothing has changed.

Things are changing and more to come, PS4 is just behind.

SOS-Anyone has hit the nail on the head regarding a lot of the questions at hand in this thread (thanks for that man).

We're still very much in open beta on both PC and PS4, there's a lot that needs to be done, and a lot that we still want to do across the board. PC development started a lot earlier than PS4 did, and because of this, it's a bit further along. However, our teams are catching up to that point. The plan is to have both platforms on the same level in terms of content, there's just a bit of catch up to be had.

We understand some players want content, fixes, and updates to come faster than they are. We get it. As we continue to move forward the Dreadnought experience on both platforms will continue to improve, as well as the process of development. We do appreciate your support and feedback as always though.

Having any issues and need some assistance? Our support team would be more than happy to help! You can reach out to them here!

That's great, though why would you move patches to the PS4 with known bugs that were fixed six weeks earlier on the pc like the losing in a vet match squad breakup bug? Once you go open beta, you're attracting new people, and stuff like this makes a bad impression.
