Maybe Matchmaking should take special care of this and not allow for the opposing teams to have more than 1 difference in the number of their tac. cruisers. For example 0-1, 1-1, 3-2, etc. should be allowed, but 0-2 should not. To some extent (with less strictness) could also be done with the other classes.

I see no reason for this. If one team is unable to adjust and pick a tactical cruiser then it probably deserves to lose. People that stick with 1 ship no matter what even when the situation requires them to pick something else, probably won't go far in this game.

Besides even winning against 2 healers when your team has none is doable but yes, it needs cooperation. Remember that even if the enemy has 3 healers, it means that their team lacks in DPS significantly.

A pretty good way to deal with multiple healers that stay in pockets, is burst aoe damage, aka nukes. Also modules like drain, weaponbooster pulse, disruption or -even better - purge work great as well.

Other than that, some good tactics have been mentioned above. Force the healer to pick what he will heal and co-ordinate your team on blowing up the rest. Also switching targets works well and it confuses most healers.

Flak guns must got their range improved to 1.2k-4k with little damage at max range and full at 1200. Why small target with 20k + shield + warp jump must have additionally range advantage?

4k??? The Lorica primary's range is around 5.5k. 4k is a retarded range for flak. 1-1.5 would be good.

I could be wrong here since it hasn't happened many times but i have the impression that (friendly) nuke detonations can harm friendly ships. I rememeber accidentally launching a Goliath at launch when an asteroid was next to me and it blew up and damaged me and a friendly destroyer nearby. The friendly took much less damage than i did but there was damage. Unless it was something else that happened to hit him at the same time..

Are you sure that nukes don't hurt friendlies?

There is no friendly fire, not even nukes. You can only heal and give buffs to team mates, no damage. Also the blast damage of a nuke diminishes the further you are from the detonation point. So if you see a nuke coming, run even if you know you are going to get hit. It might still save your life.

Must have been a coincidence then, thanks! No need to be so cautious when firing nukes anymore smile

And yeah i've noticed that the damage decreases the farther you're from the blast's center. I hit thrusters as soon as i see one coming. Unless the enemy is in a suicidal mood and fires it point blank, you usually have enough time to move out of the way.

Thank you!

So someone locked you and launched missiles you can just put another ship or a obstacle between you and missile..

Or just move away if this was a torpedoes (if you fast enough)

what about friendly fire? Can someone hide from missiles behind enemy ship to make them hit it?

will aoe detonations harm friendly ships?

No friendly fire, only self-inflicted damage. You can hurt enemies and yourself, thats it.

I think 8v8 could work on Rings of Saturn. It felt a bit crumpled on Ryugu Haven and Dry Dock. I guess it will be the same for Kappa Base. It was better in that desertish-barren map.. can't remember the name.

Some bigger maps would be good for 8v8

@Divide-By-Zero I disagree with a final wipe to put all players on the same footing. If it is open beta after this next wipe, I feel that there should be no more wipes. As it will be open beta, it will be available to anyone and everyone who decides to try it out. Why should those who are on it from the beginning have to once again be pushed down to nothing just because they would be ahead of others who wait until the full release to play? I believe that once the paid packs start coming into play, then that should mark the end of the wipes. Once the open beta comes, there will be more players. New players who would get interested and start devoting more time to Dreadnought. If a wipe comes with the full release, all of those new players will be fumed, and seeing how they no longer have any of the progress they just did, there would be no point to stick around and as a result, the game dies a quick and needless death. After that, it would be back to World of Tanks for me, a game that I played since the closed beta on PS4, and has had no wipes since I've played. This game has enough potential to turn me off from WoT and come to Dreadnought as my primary game, but more wipes would cause this game to always have a low population count.

Edit: Just saw that you pretty much agreed on the open beta already giving everyone a equal footing so my entire paragraph is practically an extension of the reason why we agree... Lol.

Well basically one reason why your open beta progress should be wiped, would be because you're not in the beta phase so that you can save progress and have a "headstart" but to try the game out and provide feedback. So having a wipe before release wouldn't really be unfair. Still like i said earlier, since the game will be open for everyone i have no issues with a wipe not taking place. Just saying what the beta's purpose is. Testing.
