Okay coming back on my statement - reload is a factor of RoF, so energy to weapons do make your ship reload faster.


I'm not sure it's worth it though most of the time though.


Still pretty sure it doesn't boost the weapons or modules damages.

You get between 2 and 3 times more xp from matches than credits though.

OP, there's a difference between constructive criticism and childish ranting. There are also far easier and more respectful ways to ask for higher credit payouts and changes to tier balancing.


On the other hand, there is no faster way to alienate a developer and turn away reasonable forum goers than to post like you just did, even if there are valid points buried in that vitriol.

7km being the max range of any main gun.

They also need to find their lace in the Calculus Wheel of the classes.


Currently it's

Destroyers > Tacs > Corvettes > Arties > Dreads > Destroyers


Going with the historical balance, maybe something like

Destroyers > Tacs > Corvettes > Arties > Carriers > Dreads > Destroyers

But you have to make dreads a little less weak to arties then. Longer range / projectile speed would do it.


The other possibility would be (ahistorically)

Destroyers > Carriers > Tacs > Corvettes > Arties > Dreads > Destroyers

And this one would need less of a redo from scratch - making the drones/fighters weak against perimeters (that arties have access to, but Tacs don't) make the wheel balanced (destroyers had a limited upper hand against tacs anyway).

Flaks are more or less a trap, they are better at engaging big target close than anything else (except the light flak, this one has no use at all). They lack range (and probably clip and projectile speed) to do well in anything else.

If you want to send corvettes down in flames, go for a light or medium tac.


EDIT: Some people says flak can intercept missiles and such.
