I have one more question for you, what type of match will be played for the competition? I'm asking because the type can have a huge impact on the score and balance of the match.

AFAIK That will be decided the day of the event, but that is subject to change.

Please delete this thread, it was an accidental double post... also - trolls.

Your competition project is interesting but I have some questions.

1 - What fleet level (recruit, veteran, legendary) will be played? In the same vein of question, what Tier of ship are we required, if any, to have?

2 - What is the exact time frame for the matches, from what hour to what hour relative to which timezone will the competition be held? I have friends that play this game that come from California, Greece and Australia, while myself live in Québec. Having the exact time will tell us if we can realisticly be part of the event or not.

3 - Would it be possible to change the prizes we receive (if we manage to be winners) if we already have those things in our account? Maybe get the money amount in Grey Box Points for example.

4 - This is not a question but a constructive comment. Your link doesn't work. To make proper links you have to do the following. When you use the create link icon, you must input your link twice, first to describe it and then to create the actual link.

[ write here the description for the link ] ( write the actual link here beginning with http:// )

Thank you for that feedback! I am editing this right after I am finished posting your reply. Been crazy lately, and well... some details slipped through the craxks, so I am grateful for your input.

ANSWERS:

1 - Recruit, T1 & T2 ships.

2 - All matches are based in Central Time [CT]. The exact time is yet to be determined. Contestants are being asked to take a short poll inputting their desired time slot for the day of the event. From now until the 16th we are giving people a chnace to sign up, but we will have a drawing to pick the entries. After which we will post the roster and the time slot/s for the competition. I will edit the language to better reflect this. Perhaps even moving the contestant roster this monday, and update it as if fills in.

Saturday, December 16th (May edit this to a closer date, need to address my partners)

The Players & Alternates Roster will be posted, both here in the Dreadnought forums, and in our Discord server. At this time the Zero Hour squad leaders and their alternates will be posted, along with the day's schedule of events..

Monday, December 18th

Contest day. All players are required to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start times. Feel free to come early and hang out in Discord with us. Players will be paired up with their Squad Leaders the day of the event, at random."

3 - Unfortunately not. We are giving away codes donated by one of our sponsors. We have discussed your idea for future events.

4 - Will fix that link error (derp) thanks for pointing that out!

Again thank you for your feedback and constuctive critisism, I saw you popped into our Discord. Feel free to hang out, and hit me up there anytime @ZeroJee

IV. RULES

Scoring

Their will be 2 rounds, with 4 teams per round. Each team will play a total of 5 matches. At the end of each round individual player’s overall scores will be tallied. After the second round the Players with the highest three scores are announced. Squad leaders are not counted, as they are ineligible for contest winnings.

Judging

At the end of each match the team’s designated Squad Leader will take a screenshot of the battle report, and submit it to the judges. The player’s overall scores, not the number of ship kills, at the end of each match will be used to tally the final results.

Tie scores will be broken by an additional match/s between the players involved.

Dropped connections during a match will result in a do-over, and the result of said match will be discarded. This failsafe can only be used once per player in order to avoid abuse.

Results

Winners will be announced by rank (1st to 24th) on the forums with web link to ALL screenshots within 24 hours, and prizes will be given out within 24 hours of that.

Squad leaders and Zero Hour admin will not be eligible for these prizes.
