It's pretty simple. Greybox/SixFoot realized this game is a failed product, so they won't be making any real investments into it; they'll only keep a skeleton crew to maintain it as long as they can scrounge whatever money people are willing to spend on it until that is no longer profitable.

Yes, the sounds since Steam launch have been a huge joke and whoever developed them should have been fired a long time ago.

Probably a current or former employee posting some samples of his/her work to help his/her jobhunting.

Crash & Burn

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This makes the transition between tiers insanely more difficult and less fun. A hotfix for this issue alone should be prioritized AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I have no doubt that Dreadnought is losing players because of this issue; the transition to T3 was already displeasurable enough before and now this issue makes it painful.

I loathe to be critical, but how the heck was this MASSIVE problem missed by Quality Assurance? Either the company needs game testers that actually know the game completely inside and out, or at least a system should be setup in which at least a few highly experienced players are intimately consulted and/or have access to a test-build server.

I think I probably only hear 5% of sounds even with music off; everything sounds like my ears are stuffed with marshmallows. I have to be right next to someone to even have a chance to hear their weapons firing (even then an Akula Vektor Artillery Cruiser shot is only whisper loud). Then don't even get me started on the crackling of sounds that happens 95% of the time; it's like my ears are stuffed with marshmallows that contain Pop Rocks...

These problems make me to not want to play the game. If Dreadnought had been in its current state when I first played the game, then I almost certainly would have uninstalled it soon afterwards.

My super-initial feeling is that Hypervolt's idea might be too strong; I think a more viable option would be to make Stationary Cloak not be interrupted by enemy fire or a new cloak mechanic where Stationary Cloak is interrupted after a certain amount of damage (regular module activation time is still in place if not damaged).

Now just figure out how to make Turn Amplifier a more viable option!
