the steam launch will bring more players into recruit level at first then in a few days/ maybe a couple weeks (depends on player) will start to populate the veterian queues. And stated above you still can re-queue at any time you like the only difference is in the " battle bonus " +/- . In regaurds to the forum my opinion here is that most of us are in a " holding pattern " and kind of chilling out untill the steam launch and updates are applied. But belive me if you have any questions or conserns feel free to ask here,reddit, steam community hub page or disscord and myself or many other well knowledgeable veterian players, moderiators,dev's, cust. support will be able to poit you in the right direction.

interesting topic : i myself have mentioned this very thing 2 months ago in the mod rebalence threads twice in fact. the t5 cooldown is 8 sec the scramble effect is 12 sec just look at those stats and think about that for a second. by those numbers it will allways be a constant state of scramble with no chance in the world to debuff or even survive. this particular module at the t5 level is in big part of the reason i had to take a break from this game. they shoud flip flop those numbers around to still have a playable module. now with that said the other reason is after playing this game exclusively with no other games every single day from 4hrs on a work day to 18 hrs on a day off for 11 months straight i switched to pc after a new build and was hopeing that all the talk about matchmaking and population would be better. sadly it is NOT better on pc. in theroy the population should ten fold compaired to console and yet still have same broken matchmaker. so my question to the dev team is this just how big of a population is required for this to work correctly ? secondly at what point are you going to tired of the same complaints and make the changes that are needed ? also there needs to be something on pc to get theese 2 yr players the heck out of vet and stop ruining new players and get and keep them in the class they shold be in witch is legondary. on console it's not that big of a deal just all of the other bugs are along with the matchmaker. sorry for being ranty/salty but i'm going back to my well desirved break and play something else for a while

I have brought up this very issue a couple of times within the last three months in the forums here as well as in the reddit forums witch are tied to disscord and still have not gotten any feedback in return from dev's about this being addressed in the future. Explained how this would be a bigger issue moving forward with larger and wider screen being manufactured to catch up to the tv industry with hdr and 4k also. And the push from gpu manufactures to drive those monitors also is leading in that direction. I also in my finding did come come accross a prior post and thread from 2016 in regaurds to this topic so hopefully they have been aware of this I just don't know if it will lead anywhere. As stated the problem comes from the Unreal Engine keeps the width the priority but should be changed to the hight because it upscales as a whole square so to speak. It gets the width correct but the has to crop the top and bottom third to fill the screen. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS but i tried a work around by changing the line of script in a particular file that would change it to hold the height as priority. The main menue looked 100% correct both height and width but the second I clicked " find match " it hard locked my whole pc; I then had to revert back. Knowing other games have gotten this figured out from day one I know it is possible to be fixed it's just a question of when ? or if ever ? I"ll apogise in advance for being kind of long winded and harsh but it is aggravating that I spent a lot of money and built an enthusiasts grade rig with triple monitors and not be able to run this game as I should be able too.

yes..by switching between the two queues you can get the bb and the respective reward gains from both. And yes granted at first it may be ruff going ( t3 flasbacks ) but you will be able to get the better modules that make you competive in both queues twice as fast. That was my approach on console and still is now that I have started on pc and I most deffinitly have queued in a bone stock t4 w/ t3 mods in a legondary queue when able to get one. And on a side note you get to learn more tactics and get to learn what that next level is all about even way before you get your own t5 ships. KInd of play better people to become better yourself theory. Some of the problems in vet stem from the fact that people want to move up but simply won't comit and stay in vet past the time they should.

my last couple of points were trying to raise the awarness of not having enough legonday matches and the only feedback I get is about the queue time itself. Well if more of us actually queued for it then the time would be 8 sec. and not 15 min. And that is causeing problems in the other tiers on pc. And legondary is not soley for t5 you can run a t4 from day one through maxed out so with the bb you get maxed out faster .......still trying to figure out why nobody ques for leg on pc on console this is a non issue

While T5 is definitely better than T4, I was surprised the jump wasn't as big as T1 to T2 or T3 to T4. You can definitely hang in Legendary with a T4. I would also say some may not want to make the jump to Legendary due to the power gap in those tiers, and are afraid they'll just get seal clubbed by veterans with T5s.



Then why do those same people feel it's ok to seal club t3's in vet queue then ?

Now I take issue with this statement for a couple of reasons.




  1. DN has been out on pc twice as long as console but there are no legondary matches on pc unless advertised and cordinated ...... Why ?
    On consloe you can get a legondary match within 8 min all naturally on it's own anytime of the day 24 hrs a day. And you would think that the player base on pc would be way higher compared to console. So again I ask why is this ?




  2. The difference between t4 and t5 is NOT minimum. The only thing about that is the overall movement speed may be the same but the modules,firepower, and arrmor hp are definitly better in many ways.




  3. The team play and tactics used in legondary t5 is by far more intense ( regaurdless in a squad or solo ) so no I don't believe that this clan notion holds any weight. Besides you have a three letter abbrevation in front of your name so that is your clan tag. Maybe your clan needs to be more orginised when custom matches come to pc in a few months




  4. The one thing I do agree with is sitting in a queue means you are not earning credist or xp, playing battles does. But you will not get t5 mods unless you play them or spend real world
    money to transfer xp by staying in vet que with a maxed out gold stared ship will provide ample credits however. We all know that the transfer rate is terrible so why would you do this




  5. Yes I am a player of both platforms ( 11 months on console - 2 months on pc { just built new rig } ) and theese are some observations that I've made



+1 for your suggestion. trying to time a purge mode cycle to get the third shot off eneregy to wepons is most stricky. Even regular shots seem like the old oberons agreed.
