Please use bots to fill up rooms! I have been waiting more than 30 minutes at a time. Use intelligent bots so we have a chance to use our class V ships!

Is this some kind of joke?

DO NOT ADD MORE AI BOTS TO THIS GAME!! In fact, you should remove the ones you already put in it!

Im really having trouble with this ship.

You are the primary target for any kind of ship. The heals dont give enough XP.... its imo a desaster of a ship.

I was able to suffer trough the grind so far, that I got auto-Beams. Still, the ship cant resist anything.

Not sure if I can bear this crappy ship any longer... actually I just bought it for the briefing.

Any tips on how to get this pile-of-to-be-scrap working?

Other then the Officer Briefing, its just a paper weight now. They nerfed it to death a few patches back and its not worth using for anything anymore.

It is reasonable that players that reach the end game ask questions about where the game goes from there. And everyone is allowed to hope.

What is not reasonable is to believe they have an extra level of privilege and the right to DEMAND.

To have any and all questions answered to their satisfaction, or to have all features dissected and discussed and then shaped to their ideas of how things should be.

An advanced player with "5 tier 5 ships" is no more or less than any other player: They have a right to their opinion and that's about it. There is no additional entitlement beyond "thanks for playing our game".

Entitlement is the key word - cos there's a lot rolling round this forum these days and frankly its a bit disgusting.

I went back and checked all those closed topics SinofMen - and most of them were reasonably answered. Some had dragged on - and some were simply rants with no real purpose other than to pick sores open.

It doesn't take a genius to see that this game is developing at too slow a progression rate for a lot of the "senior" players - and they don't like that.

It is also very obvious that some feel entitled to having more information than is probably available to the CM - and are happy to beat up the CM when he cant answer their every whim.

Lastly: how much of a self-entitled prig does one have to be to start railing on a human being and accuse them of not doing their job when all they are doing is their job? - just not to your highly unrealistic levels of expectation.

No. No amount of tier 5 ships should give anybody the entitlement to insult demena or belittle the people working to deliver the game.

Theres a golden rule to online gaming that I think people need to remember: Its only a game. If you are frustrated take a break.

Perhaps you need to take a break from Dreadnought for a bit.

Who exactly are you talking to? Sinofmen? That's funny, I checked their profile and they haven't logged-in in over 5 months! I think its's pretty safe to say, that person went ahead and abandoned this game a long time ago. You tell him to take a break and he beat you to the punch months ago.

That was kind of my point in digging this old thread up. To point out that everyone on this thread and ALL the ones on all the closed threads abandoned this game a long time ago. I admire your persistent in defending a game you only been part of 3 months but I think you are missing the point here.

So it has been 7 months since this thread was posted, has anything changed? It don't appear so.

WAIT, WAIT, yes something has changed!

It's a completely new group of players complaining about the same old stuff! I wonder what happen to the old group of players complaining about this stuff?

Probably some banned, most probably just said screw it and left this game to die. Oh well, the DN will figure it out at some point I'm sure but at that point it will be to late, if it's not already to late smile

I decided to uninstall when I saw any form of negative feedback instantly locked or deleted.

This is the one that got my attention the most.

Play as a team and you're going to rake in the xp.

The only problem is that the new point system discourages team play. Every game i play is "Every Man for Himself"

Take Onslaught for example. I can score 15-0-5 and still come in 4th place. Why is that? Do you really believe the guy that came in 1st place by continuously taking out the Command Ship, would have still come in 1st place if I didn't wipe out every enemy ship guarding the Command Ship in the 1st place? Of course he would not have but that's just the way it is, he is going to have 3 or 4 kills and be at the top of the board because he ignored everything except getting that Command Ship kill. I clear the path only to be gimped because I had to take cover and heal up while the other guys that didn't get a single kill leading to the destruction of the Command Ship enjoy all the rewards.

Tacs are another great example. TACS SHOULD BE AT THE TOP OF THE SCORE BOARD! Why? Because its a rather boring style of game play. A Tac does its job and does its job WELL ensuring that the guys at the top of the score board get their points only to get next to nothing in return now. People don't even play Tacs anymore because its pointless. Your not going to come in 1st or even a close second. The Tac is like a b@st@rd step-child that no one wants to use anymore.

I could go on with more examples but like playing a Tac, its pointless. The developers won't listen to us anyway.

In onslaught the most command ships kill I can see is 3. Each command ship kill gives you 300 points, 3x = 900 points. If a guy with 900 points is on top of your team then your team is doing something wrong. If you are 15-0 and you have less than 900 points then all you did was last hitting lower tier ships.

Now admittedly there are ways to cheat the score system, but I can assure you top players always contribute.

About tacts, they usually are at top of the scoreboard ranking 2-4, as long as they have the auto beam. If tacts get anymore exp from healing it would be ridiculous because tacts job has less risk comparing to shooters.

none of what you said is actually true, dreadnought fan boy line is over there ---> NEXT!

You DON'T support bad decisions. I wouldn't put another dime into this game for the simple fact, that is the ONLY thing the developers are encouraging at this point.

They don't listen to players, they don't fix bugs, they don't do anything that I would consider worthy of supporting. The game was DONE, DEVELOPED and POLISHED back in 2014. The only thing that has been added since then is new ways to get you to open your wallet.

If you keep throwing money at them, all your going to do is feed their ego that they are developing the game in a enjoyable way. When in reality, there is nothing that could be further from the truth.

That would be like my kid bringing home his report card with all "F's" and I take him to the store to get Ice Cream. How does that make sense? It doesn't and supporting Dreadnought with your wallet is the last thing the community should be doing at this point.

Oh okay, they don't respond to the official forum but chat it up on discord.

I think there is some confusion. The Developers don't chat it up in Discord. They never answer any questions at all. The people that chat it up in Discord are the Publishers and they are nothing more then glorified baby sitters that do nothing but keep us from talking negatively about the game. If you ask the Publishers a question, you get same old copy and paste non-sense over and over again.

"I'm not entirely sure. That's information I don't have unfortunately"

The Publishers don't know anymore then you or I about what is going on.

Even if the Developers did answer questions or addressed issues, it wouldn't make a difference. They have never listened to a single thing the players have said anyway. They will always keep on the same old path of only implementing mechanics to force you to spend more money and things to make the game more miserable.

Everyone here complaining, LIKES the game. What we don't like is the Publishers and Developers themselves. The game itself is solid, the Publishers and Developers are the ones ensuring its failure.

Keep in mind that GreyBox (Fake Developers) didn't develop anything. What they did is bought the concept from Epic Game Studios (Yager). Dreadnought was already developed and polished way back in 2014. What GreyBox has done is add pay to play and long draw out grind aspects to the game to capitalize on it.

Any 14 year old could get a finished/polished product and add the monetary aspects to it with the Unreal Engine 4 through the customization interface.

Yager Development: 130+ employees (source: official website)

Yager has NOTHING to do with Dreadnought anymore. They done took their money from actually developing the game and ran.

I have to agree with others, this is a stupid event. There is no rewards at all. I think we are being used as some kind of selling point to bring in investors. I mean lets face it, Dreadnought is dying a slow and miserable death. The developers are not listening to their players, the players are abandoning ship faster then new ones are joining. No reward is being given because rewards come in the form of items, GP ect. Rewards would just eat into their profits and of course that is the opposite effect of what they are currently trying to achieve.

We lost DN_Thor, the best hope for a decent community manager that we had and was left with a OompaLoompa from WiIIy Wonkas factory.

Does everyone know why we lost DN_Thor? We lost him for two reasons.

  1. Company cutbacks because they are bleeding players/money and the ones they still have, refuse to invest anymore money into this dying game.

  2. He was ready to leave because the developers were NOT listening to the player base. He said in a stream that this publisher (SixFoot) was taking him down a path that just wasn't him. He tried to fight for what was right by the playerbase and he was told to "Sit Down and Shut Up"

They had a great game but are choosing to run it into the ground by squeezing every penny they can out of the very small player base that they have left. People cry out that they are taking it down the wrong path and threads are locked and players banned from voicing their opinion. Everyone sees what is happening, when you try to silence the most vocal players by banning them, that does nothing but lower the morale of everyone that agrees with them. Do you really think they hold on and hope for the best? No, they jump ship knowing that holding on will leave them disappointed in the end. The developers act like they are listening but instead exchange one kind of pain for another.

All of this is apparent if you look at the signs. Take the last patch for instance NOT one single thing was implemented to improve the player experience for the better. Instead we get a completely off the wall score system that makes absolutely no sense. Complete failures in the code that locks the game up most the time. Not to mention they spit in the face of most the veteran players by buffing up tier 3s where in some instances they are MORE powerful then their tier 4 counter part. Why even work towards tier 4? I don't even see the point anymore, alot of veteran players are flying around in their tier 3 ships now, even though they have the tier 4 version fully unlocked and researched. So the need to progress is completely dead.

The biggest complaint that I have is the implementation of AI Bots in PVP matches. Who in the world thought it was a good idea to fill a PVP match with artificial players? The reason for this is understood but it's sad to see it already come to this. This is a tactic used when a game is failing and player population is in the garbage can. A certain veteran player warned the playerbase a few months back that they was seeing AI Bots in PVP matches before it was announced in the update. The publishers denied that this was happening and that person was silenced for pointing it out. Low and behold, PVP matches are now filled with computer controlled ships.

At this point they are looking for investors, they need a certain percentage of cash flow to keep the game going. The problem is, they want a influx of money but they want this money and they want to do things their way, not to change the game in a way the player base will accept it as a great title.

This game is never going to be as popular as say WOT or WOW, the genre that is Dreadnought caters to a very select group of people. With so many in that group being alienated right off the bat, well you can see as clearly as I can where its going.
