The way the tiers are currently setup are the way they were intended to function since Progression 2.0. The ships in your fleet play a part in what other tiers you'll play against. Which is why you may go up against a higher tier and not understand why. Mind you, since we're still in beta there are still tweaks and adjustments to be made to matchmaking, game progression, and balance as a whole on both platforms.

Thanks for the reply, its great to know that you are still working on these topics.

I am writing this article together with DNG_Knusperfisch who also plays this game for quite some time just like I do.

First of all we love the idea of this game. I got about 400 Games and my friend as around 1k games, so we have seen our fair share of gameplay. Lately we are a little bit disappointed with some unnecessary imbalances of the system.

Here is the point: There are currently 5 ship tiers. In every tier the ship gets stronger and gets access to more modules for more customization. In short a t2 ship not as strong as a t3 ship and a t3 ship is not as strong as a t4 ship and so on. Still you get matched with different tiers of ships.

We are aware that with the upcoming patch t2 ships will no longer be forced in Veteran matches. It’s an appreciated step in the right direction.Still a t3 ship does not really stand a chance against a decent equipped T4 ship. To be honest most people I know who own a good equipped t4 ship just smash an equally skilled t3 player.

Here is the new player: Got his first t3 ship and starts to play in veteran. Now he gets matched with T4 players. His newly brought t3 ship feels like an extra punishment because he now has to play against more experienced players and with a ship that is a lot weaker than the t4 ships. Even if he plays very good for an unexperienced player he still gets crushed.

We have tried to motivate a few friends of ours. Three in total. And all three left the game when they started playing veteran games with t3 ships because in most of the matches they got crushed by good equipped t4 ships. In games with not as many t4 ships they did very well and had a lot more fun playing the game.

Also for us as more experienced T4 players it’s not fun at all to start playing with another t3 ship to get a new t4 ship or start working for a new officer briefing.

There is an easy solution: Make every tier fleet separate. (maybe not for t1 and t2)

Correct me if i am wrong:

You like the game alot, since you had to put 300 or alot more hours into it to get as advanced as you say you are.

You have alot of expectations what should be changed and you want it to be changed fast.

You fear that your beloved game is going to waste if they dont change things.

You dont like how the community manager handles the forum.

To me it looks like your expectations are too high.

You are correct i am new to the game and i like it alot.

But i dont think that anything but very constructive feedback will ever be noticed by Communitymanagers and Devs.

Look for example in WOW forums. There is always 90+% complaining and still 10 million people play the game.

I think the best way to support a game like Dreadnaught is to acept what there is right now and not what it may become in the future. the latter will only make you unhappy.

I think he is doing exactly as he should. constant raging like a lot of ppl do is exactly what scares away new players without even playing the game.

I read some of the mentioned posts and most of the time the question was answered so no need to keep the thread. And there are alot of complaining posts that are not closed. Your view seems heavily biased my friend.

Regards

I myself only have T3 ships so far.

And i dont have unlocked alot of Modules.

I can feel your pain. Sometimes it is hard to play against full equiped T4's. But T3 ships can still do ALOT in a Veteran match.

Just yesterday my Team lost against a T3 sniper... he carried the whole game because he played so well. And my Team had 4 T4 ships.

I myself sometimes get alot of kills on my T3 corvett. Its not possible in every game but sometimes.

Try to get better at the game. Learn from your mistakes. Dont expect to carry alot of battles as a T3. But dont underestimate your impact!

thanks for the clarification. So its not win %. Normaly games like this tell you the win percentage. So the wins divided by the overall matches.

Its a little confusing like this.

regards

The Win Lose Ratio in the Full Statistics Tab seems to be wrong.

When i had 60 games mine was around 70% - thats 18 loses.

With 100 games it was around 90% - thats only 10 loses.

seems odd

Hello everybody

I already stated it the actual news post.

I don't expect major changes overnight or in a single patch.. But there are bugs and issues in the game that are NOT working as intended but yet they remain unsolved. Sorry to say but a few of these bugs really seem to be just wrong numerical values so you can not come and tell us that it takes 6000 lines of code just to adjust the drain pulse values, or the spread for the dola and the jutland.

These should have been fixed long before but we all waited for a patch. Now its here but not a single one of these issues has been addressed. I am sorry that's another kick in the face for those that have been patiently waiting to see these things finally get resolved.

I am really not sure that the issues are that easy. If you would change Numbers everytime some players complain about them we would play a different game every week.

And i am pretty sure, that the review process for balance changes should be quite compilcated. You have to look at winratios, compositions and alot of other facts. And in the end if there are enought Date that really support a thing beeing OP it will be fixed.

The problem is that players perception of the game and some supposedly "OP" Ships is so so so far away from beeing a fact that i am REALLY happy that nothing gets changed until the Devs are sure it needs to be done.

Even big companys like Blizzard after releasing a new patch (in Hots for example) with obviously OP heros, wait atleast a month to see if the comunity can find counters to the supposed "OP" heros. And most of the time the community does find counters on its own.
