YAGER was founded by five East German game enthusiasts in 1999, determined to make an impression on the European game scene.

Perhaps best known for the critically acclaimed game, Spec Ops: The Line, that product wasn't actually YAGER's first to release. Their original game, Yager (yes, named after the company), was a spaceship combat flight simulator on the Xbox, and has acted as the catalyst for the current development of Dreadnought. The creation of giant space craft is obviously in their blood and gamers everywhere are benefitting as a result!

The Dreadnought Team, headed by Game Director Peter Holzapfel and Game Producer Mark Liebold, are motivated by the space genre that produced such greats as Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and Firefly… and are dedicated to providing a gaming experience worthy of those classics.

Since the "early days" YAGER has grown into an international team of more than 130 people from all over the world, and more than 16 nationalities, which has helped them to create games for a worldwide audience.

Their beautiful office, located in one of the coolest cities in the world, Berlin, sports a cool, modern environment that fosters a sense of collaboration and a creativity evident in all of the games they work on.
