i have managed to do all the missions in the recruit progression except the first "warp into battle" though i have done so on multiple occasions it will not register as complete and i cannot move onto the captain ladder without it, any practical help appreciated.

If i remember correctly,either you have to do a proving ground match,or to do the training match.

You have to do the tutorial, if that does not fix it, contact support.
