I would love to see more balance changes and work on elements that actually relate to the gameplay. Other than a relatively tiny balance update we got recently, there have been no gameplay/balance changes for ALMOST TWO YEARS. We got new ship tech tree system, we got new maps, we got new game modes, we got tons of new cosmetics and there is an UI rework coming, sure. But something that actually touches how the game itself plays, how the ships and modules work? Nothing.

Multiplayer games like this live and die by developers paying extremely close attention to balance and shaking up the meta once in a while. Imagine if games like overwatch, dota, lol, hots, R6 siege, etc, got balance passes only once a year or something.

New coat of paint is good, but please actually pay attention to the engine that runs behind said paint. You badly need some actual balance passes and module reworks, not just slapping duct tape in form of +5% there and -5% there on numbers.

Thats great news. Releasing on steam is a HUGE boost to publicity and pretty much means game's official release in people's eyes, even if it technically stays in beta

Just make sure the game is ready by then, as a big steam launch is once in a lifetime opportunity

For the beginning: I am not level 50.

I don't think that the game needs heavy capital ships. And the thing is: It is true that lvl 50 players may have have an advantage against Players who are under lvl 30 (example), because the players who haven't reached lvl 30 won't have (in average) all officer briefings, so yes there may be a disadventage, however if you go against a lvl 50 player in a team you have a higher chance to win. Most of the times it seems that the lvl 50 players are too strong. But in most cases those players are communicating with each other directly. (i.e. Teamspeak / Discord) this leads to a huge advantage, because they can directly tell each other if they get critical hits (need strong heal) or are under attack by snipers / repositioning.

I think if the players, who think that the lvl 50 players are too strong, are playing together and communicate directly, they would be more succesfull and won't get "dominated" (or not so easy?)

This is my personal opinion: Teamwork is crucial in this game in order to win. The better they work together the easier the game becomes.

With best regards
Vesuv

PS: And pls do not forget: Lvl 50 Player have often a bigger knowledge of the game through they have played more games and tried more different tactics

I know that they are counterable, i know that teamwork wins over everything, im not saying they are OP. However.... if the game scene has stayed exactly the same for more than a year, with exactly same tactics used non-stop all the time by the skilled players, dont you think that there is a chance that things need to be changed/reworked? At this point its just boring seeing same scene unfold every time, with literally exactly same copy-pasted point-by-point 2 ships, all with same modules and tactics used

I came here to watch badass capital ships fight it out in epic battles, not watching whose team light destroyers race around the map first like watching a go-kart race

Max lvl players(3 x X x rank icon) in light destroyers/corvettes still dominate over everyone. Literally nothing has changed

Ah well, i will try again in a year. Hopefully by then devs will realize that the game should be about big heavy capital ship battles, not zoop zoop go-karts

At least the VPN works, so i can play. With my government blocking everything left and right i pretty much keep my VPN working 24/7 anyway. Everyone, even lowest newbiest internet users here, are being made aware of what VPNs are and how they work aswell.

Im very glad to see that devs are finally back to touching up and balancing modules, it feels like it has been absolute eternity since the last proper balance patch instead of just adding more paintjobs and maps with each update.

HOWEVER what you completely forgot and missed are the dreadnought carrier modules. All of them are straight out broken and dont work simply because of the way the AI works. 2/3 of the time i launch them they will immediately crash into a wall or crash into a teammate, zero path avoidance. And even if they do actually manage to hit someone once in a million, i have zero feedback regarding it or what the hll are they currently doing because there is no squadron status info on the hud. Using them is a shot in the dark and randomly hoping for the best, its as simple as that.

Please, make them a priority for your next modules update.

Im back to playing the game after a break, and i noticed that 3D crew avatars during the match are gone, instead now showing a static 2D pic. An option to switch between 3D and 2D is gone from settings menu aswell.

What happened with that? Animated crew provided HUGE amounts of immersion, making you feel truly like a captain of your own starship with alive crew inside your ship, not like a VR drone pilot. If you are planning to remove them for good, its a huge mistake in my opinion. Just return the option to switch between 2D and 3D for players with weak PC's, if thats the issue.

There is no maintenance anymore, i have no idea what are you talking about. There is "fleet bonus" which gives +% to rewards once in a while, your fleets are always available.

1) You can put on any parts from any ship you own. If you own both Tier 4 and Tier 5 ships, you can make your T4 ship look just like T5, and vice versa, or mix parts. Doesnt affect gameplay, as tier of the ship itself will still be clearly shown on everyone's targeting HUD.

2) They're still relevant, i see rams in every game. The problem is not the damage itself. The problem is that destroyers use plenty of modules to quickly swoop in, disable whole group of ships at once with multiple drain/disrupt/statis modules, one-hit a ship, and quickly swoop out. Unlike a Nuke, which a) can miss b) you can put your shields up against, there is nothing you or your teammates can do against a ram run.
