For several hours now the PS4 server has experienced unplayable lagg.

This isn't "normal lagg"!

One player in dread chat called it "Max Headroom" Lagg!

I played one game and it took 45 seconds to empty a flak clip, and another 15-20 seconds for the hits to register!

The game play "skips" over and over, so you are playing the same moment 4-5 times before it moves on!

Many players have been suggesting a weekly PS4 server reboot during low volume time, such as early monday morning.

Please fix this!

THanks!

Thanks for the info BB!

Hello Dn_Space_ghost et al.,

Multiple PS4 players are reporting a bug that I am experiencing as well.

It happens in the hanger just as a match is starting.

When the wait time switrches to "match starting", the hanger and game freeezes and there is no response, plus the match doesn't usually load.

When the match does load, a minute into the match the game kicks you back into hanger.

This is intermittent, where it happens 3 times in a row, then you can have 2-3 matches in a row with no problem.

I'll fill out a GB ticket after this post.

Thanks,
Math

Hi Vascilios!

Yes Skyraider, whether or not the rumors are true, 6foot/greybox being silent is doing more damage to player confidence and spending than any rumor could ever do!

As it makes the dreadnought devs appear like they lack confidence in the game, and that they are avoiding the player base.

Even a short propaganda piece would do wonders right now...

I agree, 8,000 is much more reasonable.

Personally I play my already levelled T5 ships when the BB is off, and play ships that need the Exp when BB is active!

There will be no thumb twiddling when there are ships to p-pew!!!

Even when BB is inactive I still get some rewards, and I want to take advantage of these short Legendary ques as long as I can!

Agreed...

Less bugs, More PvE and Campaign mode, More maps for sure!

I think more PvP would dilute the Ques tho...

I would like to see hero skins available (without the actual hero ship) for a greatly reduced cost!

I think paint jobs are well priced tho...

But mostly i agree with skyraider as far as flaws go

Reasons for a simple PvE single player campaign mode:

1) to give new players more contenet and a taste of higher teir play to make them more invested in dreadnought.

2) to give a means for making new maps that can also be used in PvP play.

3) to showcase dreadnoughts amazing lore!

4) eneable players to test/try new builds within the campiagn, that they could later use in PvP, before purchasing those modules on their own ships.

5) note: the campaign provides the player with the ships and all modules, player doesn't have to invest or purchase anything. this is a chance for a player to play ships they dont own yet and play games "above their class", or for more experienced players to experiment with builds without investing their current assets!

STRUCTURE:

keep it simple! Keep Production costs down!
No need to design captain frames or "person environments" that will bog down production.

Each campaign will have simple cut scenes modeled after the "battle of atlantis" promo released by dreadnought.

Each campaign will have 1 new map design, other maps will be modified or recolored version of existing maps with different starting locations.

Each campaign will have a story based on existing dreadnought lore.

Each comapaign will give rewards in "green" credits, with special bonuses that award free XP.

Each campaign will have 5 parts, each part is to be completed by a different class of ship (destroyer, tac, corvette etc)

PLAYERS DON'T USE THEIR OWN SHIPS. ships are provided at each part.

players will have access to ALL modules for that ship for the duration of the campaign part.

Each part will play out in an already existing play mode "modified" for the campaign. example: TDM, Onslught, Havoc etc.

  • CAMPAIGN ONE: BATTLE OF ATLANTIS (Tier 3 ships provided). -

Follow the journey of Capt Bix's Icon special ops fleet to the end of the Great Solar War.

Part 2 - Drydock.

Vettes have SO many counters!

After the vette armor amp nerf things are fine.

Have a "B" build for dealing with certain players/ships.

PS4 vettes get owned in LEG most of the time, but for a short time they were vicious, until players invested in counters!

Scr0te1, persistant Flame, Lord meat spin, dudeVT and many others are great vette players on PS4!
And many teams will build strategies around them... but they are far from OP!

It's player skill that makes them so tough... NOT balancing issues!
and even then they aren't impossible to beat (I catch them all once a match with flak at least)

Stasis, Blast, Disruptor, drain, flak all work well!

It's important not to confuse ship balance with player skill IMO...

Many great PS4 vette players use thrust amp and diruptor pulse, which are both considered under powered or balanced by most players!

it's HOW you use modules, not the modules themselves, that define good players!

on PS4 every ship has a counter, and vettes arent that tough in LEG. most get eaten alive.

the PS4 issues are mainly stability, at least once a month we go through week+ long crashes and blue/black screens.
or no rewards, or ship shuffle bug, etc

PS4 sommunity wants CUSTOM MATCHES back for competitve clan play

We still have the numbers and our LEG que on PS4 is less than 4 minutes (many times instant) and its usually different people!

We'd like more maps and a PvE Campaign showcasing the lore, and ways to show newbies what high end play is like!
PS4 LEG play is very fast paced and deadly... many new players think t1 is boring! (they have no idea how good the game gets)

not having custom matches really stinks...

We thought balance was solid before legend redefined, and many think balance is still fine after the vette armor amp nerf!

The devs kept rebalancing when un-needed, introducing game changes no one wanted, market items no one buys, making maps more graphically efficient instead of MAKING MORE MAPS... etc...

PS4 community is pretty easy to please... but the rampant game stability and crashing issues are turning people off every time we go through it...

Dreadnought has a GREAT core and lore... I'd hate to see it die or fizzle out!
There is no other game out there like it and the ships/maps/gameplay is all beautiful!

it's funny to see the difference between PC and PS4...

PS4 vettes in t5 are meh... it's all about dreads and tacs now!
most of our vettes get eaten alive!
Destroyers were always solid!

Our ques are rocking and we have tons of people, but our stability soils the bed every month for days!! (sometimes longer)

PC wants to get rid of t1 and t5? not sure why?

PS4 wants more maps and a Campaign mode that showcases the lore!
and a way to show new players high end play so they stick with it! (our t5 play is pretty nuts!)
Oh, and we want CUSTOM MATCHES back for competitve play! (really bad)

at least you have a continuation of the exp event...
most of us didnt get that, and we still don't always get match rewards... its a gamble!

i wished they devs didn't work on things that no one asked for like rebalancing, rupture, market items no one wants, map triangle efficiency, etc...
and just made PS4 more stable and added more maps and PvE stuff for the newbies

but mainly we just want more game play stability and less crashes, and Custom Matches back...
