At the Gamescom Meet n' Greet the devs said that they are trying to keep the controls as simple as possible and that they always have gamepad controls in the back of their had when they're designing something. That means that they aren't specifically designing the controls for gamepads, but they want the control layout to possibly be applicable to gamepads as well. There is no confirmation on gamepad support though, so i wouldn't expect it to be implemented soon!

Good thing then that a nuke doesn't one shot everything smile

Capture the flag / king of the hill(s) might actually make up for some pretty interesting tactics, that even include all the ship types and not only sitting duck dreadnoughts.

Oh dear, did he say something about a third game mode? I wonder what it will be.

CTF?

I'll just sit far back, far back, and when the enemy has our flag and wants to return it to his base, I will send a Nuke to kill him just as he arrives!

Well, originally i had one for private stuff, one for university stuff and one for all the spam. But somewhere along the line i started getting ridiculous amounts of spam on all of my adresses xD

I received the mail on September 10 ( I signed up at gamescom), so there's a good chance that it hasn't automatically been deleted yet =)

Nevermind, apparently i received the same info-mail and it was burried below a million "earn 2000€ per day" spam messages -.- Don't know how i could've possibly missed that one xD

Nice, my spam folder had probably been cleared out by now. Going to check when I get home from the mountains.

I checked my e-mail, including my spam ordner regularly everyday for the last 3 weeks. there wasn't a single mail regarding dreadnought in them =(

I did sign the alpha invite list / excel sheet smile

I played at Gamescom and attended the meet n' greet with the devs. I haven't gotten any e-mails regarding the alpha (not even the "reminder" mail). So i hope they just forgot some e-mail adresses in that mail.

Berlin Airport - enough said...

On a serious note: Judging on my conversations with the devs at Gamescom, it really seems like they will release a finished and relatively bug-free product. I would go as far as predicting the alpha and beta releases to be 90% bug-free and pretty well ballanced already.

Yager and their devs don't appear to have the same "release the alpha as early as possible, even if the game is almost unplayable" mentality as many other studios do at the moment and in my opinion this is a great thing! Just keep waiting and know, that every day that passes brings the game a little bit closer to a great product that is truly(!) ready to be played and to be enjoyed!

I think to remember somebody saying September, but i'm not a hundred percent certain to be honest. The game looked pretty bug-free and reasonably balanced already though. So it seems like a pretty realistic date.
