Hi - quick question.

Saw the trailer, looks great, has generated some interest in the house - but I have to ask:

is the protagonist gender fixed at 'male' so everyone plays as 'the boy'?

There is no character creation in RiME, and we refer to him as The Boy, but the appearance of our main character was designed as such many users have called the character him or her.

As an adult I appreciate the somewhat androgynous appearance, but referring to "him" and "the boy" and the visual definitely had my daughter saying "Do I have to play as a boy again?". Just FYI

I understand completely, the best part of RiME, I think in this situation is that the character is never made mention as a boy or girl in the game, in fact, the actual characters name is Enu.

which is rather gender neutral.

I hope this alleviates some concerns, but I completely understand your position.
