Anyone else thinks this game could have been equally effective if "The Boy" would have just been "The Child"? To me, it would have been nice if RiME had a gender ambiguous lead. This would allow for any kid, regardless of gender, to relate on a deeper level to the protagonist.

What are your thoughts? Would the game be as effective? Do you think not specifying the gender would allow girls and women to have a deeper connection?

I love how in the game there is no combat but I never felt powerless like I do when I play other games with no fighting. Did anyone else feel powerful in a different way other than the usual combat strength found in most other games?
